The purpose of the More Than Just Dance school is to teach people how to worship God through the ministry of dance. We believe that God is the center of our worship, so we endeavor to glorify him in all that we do.

Our vision is for people to discover and experience the true meaning and true purpose of demonstrative worship! Our foundational verse of scripture that connects with our God given mandate is found in John 4:24. It reads, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." Burdened with the mission to disciple, train, and impart, More Than Just Dance is God’s catalyst for the awakening and restoration of worship. As surrendered vessels, our responsibility is to teaching how to shift atmospheres and establish a culture of worship.  We want our students to understand that worship is not just confined to a dance experience; but also that worship should be portrayed through a daily lifestyle. MTJD believes that as we dance and wave flags in a worship atmosphere chains are broken, yokes are destroyed, and bondages are loosed by the power of the Holy Spirit.

More Than Just Dance’s ultimate goal is to go beyond the limitation of an ordinary dance school. Our curriculum has been designed to produce an everlasting change in our students. We are not only preparing them to dance but we are instilling wisdom in them that will prepare them for a life infused with worship. Living a life of worship highlights and harnesses self-control, patience, respect, character and boldness. These seven weeks of intense training and learning will cause each student to understand their respective strengths as well as their struggles. This will enable them to honestly self-evaluate how their hindrances effect their lifestyle, thinking and perception. They will be able to uncover patterns and connections that need to be altered. If our students understand their roots, then they will be able to understand their fruits. We desire our students to transform into more enhanced and refined individuals. We want them to take what they learn in our classes and apply them to every area of their lives. Whether employed or a business owner; parent or child; student or educator; leader or supporter; they will be capable of utilizing their keys to shine bright on all levels. Despite its history, More Than Just Dance is not a "church"; it is a place where we equip, prepare, cultivate and challenge our students to live a life with no boundaries. This is the place where bondage ends and liberty begins.
